You will be our guests in a former family farm dating back from the 1750s, which has been entirely renovated. The house is located on the sunny side, in the heart of nature, surrounded by wide open spaces.
Geographically, the “adrets” is the south-facing slope, the sunny side, and the “ubac” the north-facing slope, the shady one. Come enjoy our valley which both sees the sun rise and set!
The Haut-Jura is a region rich from its history and its highland landscapes, the ideal place for all kind of discoveries! Get off the beaten paths, come meet the authentic Jura, shed light on the secret of the “grenier-forts” (outbuildings where the elders used to hide their “treasures”) and the “tavaillon” facades (made of wooden singles of split logs), admire wildlife, taste the peat bog blueberries, watch the chamois on the cliffs and the deers in the clearings… As for the badger, it is shy and only shows up at night, while the newly arrived stags have abandoned their too small territory to settle in our woods, worrying the forest owners because they love young shoots and damage the trees by rubbing their antlers on the trunks. If you are lucky, maybe you will see one of them running through the field and jump the barbwire gracefully in spite of its build.
Walking or using the cable cars, climb the Jura mountains, marvel at the splendid view of the Alps and enjoy an attractive glimpse of the Leman Lake and of Geneva’s water fountain.
Depending on your mood, we will advise you to do various hikes, visits or tours, and you will discover the savoir-faire and heritage that the ancients handed down to the Jura.
